Task 7: Requesting the License Key File (Linux)
A valid license key file is required to run the Hitachi Storage Viewer application.
To obtain a license file
• Collect the following information and email it to hbsm.key.request@hds.com. A license file will be emailed to you within 48 hours.
1. Contact and Server Information:
• Your name, title and phone number
• Company name and address
• Hostname of the Portal server
2. Run the following command and include the output in the email.
/opt/aptare/utils/reportConfig.sh
Note: When you pipe the output to a file ( > reportconfig.txt), you’ll have an output file to email.
3. Do not change anything on the Hitachi Storage Viewer server while you are waiting to receive the license key, as the license key is hostname-dependent.
