Administration Report Templates
Host to Storage Dashboard | View a multi-portlet report that shows topology and port details from the host to the storage array. Use this report to help isolate fabric connectivity and configuration issues, from the host's perspective. Check connections and paths between the host and array. Only active zones, where the particular host is a member, are shown in the Host to Storage Dashboard. |
Port Summary | List ports connected to Hosts/Arrays/Switches. Each port indicates its associated switch, speed, status, and the device to which it is connected. |
SAN Fabric Summary | View a summary of the SAN Fabrics in your environment. List of SAN Fabrics. Switches connected through the ISL, which forms the fabric, are listed in this report. |
Switch Summary | List a summary of switches for each fabric. Identify total, used, and free ports for switches. Switch details, such as the IP address and firmware version are also listed. |
Zone Summary | List a summary of zones configured in SAN Fabrics. Use this summary to access zone configuration details, such as the associated zone set and the members of the zone. Note that a device can be in more than one zone and only one zone set will be active at a time. |
Capacity & Utilization Report Templates
Bottom Ranking | Use this report to aid in load balancing. For example, a pie chart represents the lowest volume switches/ports. Metrics that can be represented include usage, errors, and throughput. |
Port Distribution | Displays a pie chart of how the ports are used. Pie slices represent port types: hosts, arrays, unused, unlicensed, and unidentified. Each slice enables a drill down to the relevant Port Summary. |
SAN Resource Utilization | List switches and ports used by arrays. This at-a-glance table provides an end-to-end view of the port on the switch that is connected to the array, along with the number of hosts using the array's storage. |
Top Ranking | View a pie chart that represents the most used switches or ports. Use this report to aid in load balancing. For the top ranked switches or ports, the following metrics can be reflected in the chart: usage, errors, and throughput. |
Change Management Report Templates
SAN Fabric Change Status Summary | View a graphical representation of alerts and lifecycle changes, with status metrics. Isolate issues based on status: information, warning, or error. Drill down on a bar chart section to view the SAN Fabric Change Summary, which includes severity details. |
SAN Fabric Change Summary | A list of alerts and life cycle changes, with relevant messages. Identify events or error indications thrown from the switch to audit, isolate, and troubleshoot connectivity issues. |
Performance Report Templates
Port Performance Dashboard | View port performance statistics with utilization and volume graphs. Use this report to view port throughput and utilization details for load balancing and troubleshooting SAN fabric issues. |
Port Performance Summary | List of ports, with access to details on utilization and throughput. Check the port performance for ports that are active over a period of time. Typically, port statistics are collected every 15 minutes. |
Billing and Usage Report Templates
SAN Fabric Usage | List SAN Fabric statistics that enable chargebacks. Define SAN Fabric chargeback policies for cost-per-TB and cost-per-switch-port. Then, use this report for usage chargebacks. |
Forecast & Planning Report Templates
Port Error Rate Forecast | List of ports with error rate statistics, with access to an Error Trend graph. Identify switch ports that may have persistent issues, accounting for degradation of performance. Errors include CRC, encoding, and loss of sync/signal. |
Port Utilization Forecast | List of ports with utilization and throughput data, with access to a Utilization Trend graph. Use this report to determine which ports have the most activity when troubleshooting fabric issues or planning load balancing. |
