Storage Viewer for File Analytics Report Templates
Capacity Management & Chargeback Report Templates
Capacity
View the current capacity, utilization and number of files by volume. This information can be used as an indicator of storage efficiency. This report lists current capacity and utilization, which aids in maintaining volumes at optimum utilization.
Capacity Forecast
Forecast capacity usage, including the number of users with files consuming capacity. Using historical data, you can view graphs representing anticipated capacity usage by device, and volume/share.
Host Summary
Lists a capacity summary for the hosts from which file data was collected with drilldowns into Volumes and Shares. Use this report to get an overview of how devices and volumes are being used, including an indicator of how much is duplication.
New Files Added
List new files added to the system over a period of time. Provides a graphical representation of the trend of the number of files that have been added, over time, in your environment. Storage Viewer for File Analytics data collection groups the files by historic create dates and stores the metadata for these files in the database for reports such as this.
Mouse over the data points in the graph to view the number of files added for the associated time period.
Usage by Owner
View an representation of the summary of the data collected by owners. Lists, by user, essential storage usage information for files collected. The highest users are listed first. This data could be used to support chargeback reporting.
Usage by Owner Forecast
Forecasts the space usage by owner. Drill down to individual owners to plan storage usage. Using historical usage data, this report forecasts anticipated usage over the next six months.

Storage Efficiencies Report Templates
Deduplication Candidates
Indicates the possible candidates for Deduplication. Use this report to find hosts that have duplicate files that can be removed to free up storage.
Duplicate Files
Indicates the potential volume of redundant data within the surveyed device. Duplicate files often go undiscovered, consuming more than their fair share of storage. This report reveals the duplicate files found in your enterprise. These duplicate files represent an opportunity to reclaim wasted space on NAS volumes.
File Categories
Categorizes the top file types by volume. Aggregates file types into application categories. Bar charts provide an at-a-glance view of storage consumption by application.
File Sizes
View a breakdown of the file sizes across the profiled devices. Each file size group can be exported to a CSV file, which includes details for each of the files, including owners, file type, sizes, and access information.
File Types
Categorizes the top file types by volume. The file types are represented in the bar charts to enable an at-a-glance insight into storage usage. The report profiles and categorizes collected data by file type (filename extension). This categorized data is listed in the report, which lists the top 50 file types for the selected volumes/shares. For a complete list of all profiled file types, use the Export List check box, available in the File Types report.
Largest Files
Lists a breakdown of the largest file sizes across the profiled devices. The largest files discovered are listed in descending order to help you identify the storage consumption offenders.

File Dates Report Templates
Access Dates
View an overview of categories of file ages starting with the creation date. Bar charts illustrate the period since a file was last opened for reading or reference only.
Create Dates
View bar charts that represent the age of groups of files since they were first allocated. Use this report to get an understanding of the trend of file creations to plan for storage requirements.
Modified Dates
View bar charts that illustrate the period since files were last opened for editing or modification. Use this report to determine the historical activity for files consuming space.
