Adding EMC Data Domain Servers
For each EMC Data Domain server specified in the Hitachi Storage Viewer Data Collector Pre-Installation worksheet, add the Data Domain server(s) to Storage Viewer by following the steps outlined in this section.
1. In the Portal, add a host for each Data Domain server: Admin > Hosts and Domains > Hosts and Host Groups
• External Name - Displayed in the Portal.
• Internal Name - Must match the host name of the Data Domain server; fully qualified domain name (FQDN).
• IP Address
• Make & Model
• OS
• Type - Data Domain Server
